I got my Winterspring Frostsaber mount! \o/
And then, because I knew I would miss the little cub, I bought a Winterspring Cub companion.
I also tamed a Young Frostsaber and am ever so pleased! I admit, I'm disappointed that he didn't stay tiny the way they are when they're beating the snot out of you up by Frostsaber Rock, because that is HILARIOUS. I would love to have a teeny tiny Frostsaber pet with the DPS of a full grown one. But he's still smaller than his mom (I also tamed a Frostsaber Huntress, though I'm debating whether to release her and get a Pride Watcher or a Stalker instead, they have such cool looks), and so pretty! I named him Kittenbo, after my co-worker's cat Kitten Bo-bitten.
Having gotten that out of the way, I went back to Darnassus to make a stop by the bank and the auction house, and to re-train my new boar, who keeps getting stunned by these tunneling worms in Outland. I've got him at 2/2 Lionhearted now, so that should be mitigated somewhat when we get back.
(Boars are the most cheerful pets EVER. How is that? I love them so much. I want to tame a Starving Helboar so he won't be starving anymore. I want to feed them ALL. ♥)
And then, because Survival really doesn't fit the way I play, I re-specced my Hunter for Marksmanship for her second talent tree. I think I'm going to like this MUCH better. Beast Mastery is still my first love, but I think this'll be interesting to try out. And I really wanted Silencing Shot.
And somehow, as I was pondering glyphs and whether to change some of mine, I ran across the concept of Hunter Extreme Soloing at the Hunter's Union cataclysm guides section. Apparently it's possible to solo dungeons that aren't 20 levels below you! I'm very excited about this.
Oh! And did you know there's a portal from Outland to Stormwind? I ran across it accidentally after I manage to aggro some guy in a bar fight and was running away to keep from dying.
...okay, it wasn't a bar fight. I was heading back to the portal so that I could go to do my last cub quest in Winterspring, and there was a huge NPC battle going on at the foot of the stairs. So I stopped and thought about it for a while, then put my pet on passive and started shooting, just because. Mostly they ignored me because of all the guards, but eventually I irritated one sufficiently that he chased me a ways before I switched my pet to Defensive and finished him off. And when I sat down to heal, there it was! Portal to Stormwind! \o/
In conclusion, Fel Reaver, holy mother of fuck, how so stealthy??

Seriously! For something that's four stories tall, that's one sneaky motherfucker, yeah? I remember my first day in Outland, back when BC was first released. My poor hunter was completely disoriented by the colors and the ferocity of the mobs and everything, and then suddenly there was this noise and she was squashed flat. *facepalm*

I think I got lucky, because the first thing I did after arriving in Outland was saddle up my griffon and fly around from a safe height looking at shit. The fel reavers are visible from quite a long ways up, which was kind of a clue.... And then I was sitting in the inn and the whole place started shaking. I ran outside to see what was going on, and it was one of those things. Gah. I ran back inside, I am not ashamed to say.
So far I've managed to avoid being killed by one, once by summoning my griffon and zipping up into the sky, and once, when it was too late for mount summoning, by running like hell. Thank you, Aspect of the Cheetah.

I think revenge sounds like a wonderful idea. Only 19 levels to go....
