D: Wth was that?

adventures_in_azerothSo I acquired a bit of new equipment last night after doing some Felwood quests, and mostly fixed my ugly armor problem. I now have equipment sets for when I'm over-leveled for the zone or at the zone level and want to increase the challenge, at the zone level or slightly below and am worried about surviving (that would be the ugly set), or just out running errands (I hate being in the mob at Stormwind when burdened down with armor and pauldrons and that big damn pig-sticker).
None of them would have helped me this morning.
I figure this has to be something to do with it being Cataclysm and the world shaking apart. There I was, running around Winterspring looking for rabbit holes where my Winterspring cub could practice his hunting, minding my own business, la lala la la, when I was brought up short by the entire area suddenly going this unsettling shade of red. And while I was standing there looking around to see what might have caused this, THE AIR CAUGHT FIRE, my character let out a shriek, and I was presented with the "Release Spirit" box as the world burned down around me.
I released spirit, made my way back to my body (not as easy as usual, since the gouts of flame that covered the landscape made the area almost impossible to see), picked a spot that looked like it wasn't entirely consumed in flames, resurrected, hearthed back to Everlook (which was, thankfully, not on fire), resurrected my owl, made sure my cub was okay, and logged out to get ready for work.
So instead of finishing my cub's daily quest and getting the requisite whisker, I died in a random firestorm. IN A SNOWDRIFT.
WTF?
In other news, if anyone wants to make icons for the comm, that would be more than welcome! I've given it this one just because it looked so sad with no icons at all, but it's just my personal hunter character, so, you know. More is better! :)
