IM and WoW

What I wish for is an integrated AIM chat client that would let me keep my AIM chat windows open in the game UI, so that I can play full-screen but still be in chat with my friends who don't play, or who aren't playing right then.

Is there such a thing? It seems like there would be, unless it goes against the WoW TOS, but I can't find one. Anyone know of something like this? I mean, I can do it if I leave the game windowed, but I still have to click back and forth between the apps, and if I get into combat I tend to accidentally click outside the game window and screw myself up, because I'm so used to full-screen.

There's no addon like that and there likely won't be (unless Blizzard surprises us). I just play in window'd mode when there's someone I want to chat with outside of game. There is the possibility of accidentally clicking outside the window, but you get used to it after a while. :)

If you run windowed but maximize it, WoW will take up everything but the task bar, so you can see if anything flashes. I use Trillian set to start chats minimized, so this works great for me.

I keep my WoW in "windowed" mode, but I maximize it to full screen so I can Alt+tab easier.

Pretty much what others have said; windowed+maximize. One of my main motivations for a second monitor was being able to see IM chats and the WoW window simultaneously.

One warning; if you're on a low-end machine (like mine is, now), you'll likely see a framerate drop when your graphics card has to think about WoW and the OS ui simultaneously.
